1Shred cabbage into long strips; slice onion into thin strips.
2Combine cabbage, onion, and 3/4 cup sugar. Let stand 5-10 minutes.
3Combine vinegar, olive oil (or any salad oil), salt, celery seed, mustard, and 2 teaspoons of sugar in a medium saucepan.
4Bring the mixture to a boil.
5Pour mixture over cabbage and mix well. Place in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
