Melt butter and add sugar. Stir in your eggs.

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add to the sugar mixture. Add in your vanilla and pecan pieces.

Spread into a greased and floured 9X14 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Allow to cool completely before cutting.
