Steps
Sequence Step
1Blend sugar, shortening, and eggs. Stir in molasses.
2Add combined dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk; beat well.
3Spread batter into a well-greased and flour 9X13X2 in pa. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
4Serves well with ice cream, whipped cream, or applesauce on top.
