Preheat oven to 325 degrees; grease and flour a bundt pan.

In a large bowl, cream butter and cream cheese until fully combined. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. The mixture should gain volume and become pale in color.

Add eggs two at a time, beating well with each addition.

Add flour all at once and mix until just combined. Add vanilla.

Pour into a 10 in bundt or tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Check for doneness at 1 hour. Cake is one when a toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.

Allow cake to cool in pan for about 15-20 minutes, then turn over onto serving plate or wire rack to completely cool.
