Cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and crumble. Drain grease reserving 1 tablespoon. Cut a slit in the thickest part of the chicken to form a pocket. Fill pocket with bacon and cheese. Secure with toothpicks. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Brown chicken in oil.
Drain one can of tomatoes. Add to skillet. Stir in remaining tomatoes. Sprinkle with basil. bring to boil. Reduce heat, coverand simmer for 10 minutes. uncover and cook 5 minutes longer until chicken is no longer pink.
