In a large bowl mix brown sugar and Splenda, then cream together with margarine. Beat in egg and vanilla.

Sift together dry ingredients and add to mixture gradually, beating until well blended.

Stir in chopped apples.

Spread in a greased 8x8 pan and bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes.

To glaze, mix powdered sugar and cinnamon to taste. Add hot water a little at a time until glaze is a thick drizzling consistency. Drizzle lightly onto warm apple bars in the pan.
