scald first three ingredients in pot on stovetop

let cool to lukewarm (45 min)

add yeast, allow to sit and moisten about a minute

add 4 c. flour. let rise about an hour

add remaining flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

roll dough into large rectangle

pour melted butter on top, followed by sprinkling sugar and cinnamon. adjust to taste.

roll the large rectangle towards you, starting on a long end.

cut into 1" portions (to make rolls) and place in greased cake pans. makes about 3-4 pans full.

let rise for another 30 minutes, covered in pans
