medium slices (packed 20/lb)
bacon

Wash lentils and heat with 5Cups of water, 2 cans diced tomatoes, 2 bay leaves, 1/4 tsp pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat.

Add polish sausage. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

Fry bacon. Drain and dice. Save 1 T. Bacon fat and add carrots, celery and medium onion. cook over medium for 15 minutes.

Add veggies to lentils and continue cooking 35-40 minutes.
