Recipe Description
King Cake is a favorite in Louisiana during the Mardi Gras season. One of my favorites is the Zulu. However, it is very difficult to find a recipe. So I found other king cake recipes and put them together to make my own version.

Put the dough ingredients in a bread maker and set it to dough cycle. Press start and 90 minutes later you have dough.

After the dough is ready. Kneed the dough.

Split the dough into 3 parts.

Roll each part into 3 long strips.

Mix the filling. Put the filling on the strips of dough.

Close the dough around the filling so you have 3 long ropes.

Braid the three ropes together and make a ring.

Put a small glass bowl or glass in the center so the dough will keep it''s ring shape.

Bake for 25 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 375 degrees. Mix the glaze after the cake has cooled for about 30 minutes.
