Blend brown sugar, egg, oil, applesauce and vanilla in mixing bowl.

Stir in butternut squash and orange juice.

In another bowl, combine whole wheat flour, oats,baking soda, salt and cinnamon.

Add dry ingredients to squash mixture and stir.

Batter will be slightly lumpy.

Pour batter into muffin cups.

Top with a sprinkle of wheat germ and oatmeal.

Bake 15-20 minutes.
