1Cut butter into small pieces and melt over low heat. Do not stir. When melted, skim the solids off the top and discard. Allow to continue cooking until butter begins turning brown.
2Add potato slices to the browned butter and saute for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until potatoes are crisp. Sprinkle with salt and serve.
