Cover chopped vegetables with chicken broth.

Simmer until veggies are soft, about 10-12 minutes.

In separate pan, melt butter, add flour and stir to cook.Add milk and blend to form white sauce.

Add white sauce to big pot.

Stir in spices...parsley, paprika. (Add salt and pepper to taste, if desired...check for saltiness first)

Blend with immersion blender in pot, or remove to blender to process until smooth.

Add a few whole florets to pot for texture and cook another 20-30 minutes to desired thickness.
