combine tumeric with 1.5 cups hot water and dissolve

Heat oil in saucepan, add green onion, and quinoa and saute for three munutes, add garlic cook a minute longer. Pour tumeric water over mixture. Add bay leaf and season.

bring to a simmer and reduce to low. Cover and cook 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from heat. fold in fruits and cover, let sit for 5 minutes. stir in pistachios, green onion and lemon juice.
