Soak 2 cups of dried black soy beans overnight in water.

Brown 1 pound of lean ground beef and one medium chopped sweet onion in medium pot.

Add in remaining ingredients and stir.

Cook over low heat for about 4 hours, stirring occasionally to keep from sticking. Add water as necessary.
