In a large bowl, with mixer at high speed, beat butter, cream cheese, and sugar until fluffy. Reduce speed to low and add flour, walnuts, milk and vanilla extract

Beat ingredients until well mixed. Preheat oven to 375. Grease large cookie sheets or line with parchment

Drop dough by heaping Teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart. Lightly press 1-3 chocolate pieces onto each cookie. Can also substitute bits of candied fruit, or almond pieces.

Bake 8-10 minutes, until edges are lightly brown.

Remove to wire rack to cool. Store cookies in tightly covered container.
