Mix yeast, warm water, 1/4 c. brown sugar, salt, and flour till smooth. Let rise 1 hour.

Combine hot water, oil, and 1 c. brown sugar. Add to first mixture.

Add whole wheat flour and mix.

Turn out onto surface and knead till smooth and firm.

Let rise for approximately 45 minutes. Shape and place in pans.

Let rise again for approximately 45 minutes.

Bake at 375 F for 40-50 minutes.
