Crumble ground beef in a large bowl.

Add onion, oats, spices and 1 tsp salt.

Toss gently until all ingredients are mixed.

Pour into a 9"x13" pan and shape into a loaf lengthwise down the center of the pan.

Add half the potato, 2 cups broth and 1/4 tsp salt to each side of the pan.

Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
