Cream butter and sugars for 5 mins. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Add vanilla. Whisk together buttermilk

Divide batter between the lined cupcake tins. Bake 16-18 mins. Cool at least 10 minutes. Top with German Chocolate Frosting.
