cups12 oz can evaporated milk

cupchicken broth, fat free, low sodium, 14 oz can

dashsalt, to taste

teaspoongarlic powder

Steps
Sequence Step
1Steam broccoli for 30 minutes in a steamer or collander over rapidly boiling water.
2Use a potato masher and smash florets until crumbly.
3Add all of milk and continue to mash. Add broth to smooth until desired consistency.
4If creamy are preferred, may put in blender and pulse with a tablespoon of broth added at a time until whipped consistency desired is reached.
5Fold in additional seasoning. For an option, if you like sour cream in your mash, try using 1/4 cup fat free plain yogurt.
