1Toast oats 5 minutes on cookie sheet in 400 degree oven. Stir in slivered almonds and flax and toast another 5 minutes. Stir in coconut and toast another 5 minutes. After toasting, put in large bowl. Stir in Rice Crispies. In saucepan, combine the remaining 5 ingredients. Heat just until sugar is dissolved (do not boil). Pour over dry ingredients and stir. Press into greased 9x13
