Steps
Sequence Step
1Mince garlic in the bowl of a food processor.
2Add black beans plus 2 tablespoons of the reserved liquid.
3Ad 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1-1/2 tablespoons of tahini, 1/2 tsp of cumin and 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (note, this is not the full amount listed above. Taste afterwards to see if you want to add more spices.) Add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
4Process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
5Add additional seasoning and liquid to taste.
6Garnish with paprika if desired.
