Preheat oven to 375F or 350F if using a glass pan.

Mix together sugar, sour cream, egg, and 2 tablespoons butter.

Add mashed bananas and 1 tsp vanilla extract and mix well.

Add flour, salt and baking soda and mix well.

Pour into greased 8x8 pan or baking dish.

Bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted into middle comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.

To make frosting: Mix together butter and powdered sugar. Slowly add milk and vanilla until desired consistency. Frost cooled cake.
