I fell in love with these at my piano teachers house 35 years ago. I swore I'd make them when I grew up. Now they're requested of me all the time.

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.

Flour and grease a 9x13 pan.

Mix 2 cups flour, powdered sugar and butter like for pie crust. Press firmly and evenly into prepared pan.

Bake crust for 25 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and center is set.

Beat eggs slightly. Add lemon juice and sugar and stir until well mixed.

Add four tbsps flour and baking powder. Gently fold until well blended.

Pour filling over crust and bake for 25 more minutes.

Sprinkle with more powdered sugar. Cool completely. Cut into 32 one-inch bars.
