1In food processor, pulse oatmeal, then add dried fruit and pulse again, complete with nuts. Add liquid and let sit for 30 min. Cream sugar and shortening, add all other ingredients and flour and blend. Then combine with oatmeal, fruit and nuts. Bake on cookie sheet for 30 min at 350 F. Cool for 10 minutes and cut into approx 36 pieces
