1Place shredded cabbage in large glass bowl,sprinkle with salt and cover with distilled water. Place an inverted Clean small plate. Place a larger plate upright on top. Then place a quart mason jar filled with water on top to weigh down. The cabbage should be submerged in water. It''s important that there is proper ventilation so the gasses from the cabbage can escape. Let ferment at 67 - degrees Fahrenheit for at least 10 days.
