Steps
Sequence Step
1Melt 4 tablespoons butter and saute onion and garlic until tender
2Add broccoli and broth, cover and simmer for 20 minutes
3Puree soup with hand blender or potato masher.
4Return to heat
5In small pan, over medium heat, melt 6 tbsp butter, stir in flour and add milk
6Stir until thick and bubbly, add to soup.
7Add cheese, stir until melted
8Season with pepper and serve
