Melt 4 tablespoons butter and saute onion and garlic until tender

Add broccoli and broth, cover and simmer for 20 minutes

Puree soup with hand blender or potato masher.

Return to heat

In small pan, over medium heat, melt 6 tbsp butter, stir in flour and add milk

Stir until thick and bubbly, add to soup.
