Sautee garlic, onions, tumeric, and cumin in some oil in a pot.

Add in the rest of the chopped vegetables, lentils and salt with some water to cook until all ingredients are tender to blend.

To make arripas, mix the white corn flour, water, melted margarine and enough milk to keep them moist when shaped into 8-12 cm rounds. Grill them until done.

Serve arripas with some shredded mozzarella cheese along with the soup with some cilantro on top(optional).
