Recipe Description Made this diabetic friendly! Used almond milk and splenda. Good but a drier cake and thinner. May need a little bit more sweetner and something to make it have a little more texture. I will make it again.

Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in glass bowl in microwave. Using a fork, beat the eggs into the butter. Add the flour, sugar and almond extract and mix well. Pour into a small 8" pie plate or an 8" cake pan and sprinkle sliced almonds over top. Bake 45 minutes or until golden brown and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let cool then sprinkle with powdered sugar, if using. Serves 8
