1In a vegetable steamer over boiling water, steam the dried fruit for about 10 minutes, until soft. Combine the softened fruit with the remaining ingredients in a food processor and whirl until well blended.
2Roll spoonfuls of the mixture between the palms of your hands to shape into balls about the size of walnuts, 1-1 1/4 inches in diameter. Roll each ball in wheat germ, or grated coconut until evenly coated all around.
