Yellow Cake Mix
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit (176 Celsius). Grease bottom of two round 8 inch cake pans. Line with wax or parchment paper.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Cream sugar and butter together until light. Add eggs and vanilla to creamed mixture and beat till thoroughly mixed. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture. Alternately with milk. Beat for 1 minute.
Spread evenly into prepared pans. Bake 30-35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes. After cooled down cut quarter size holes (10-15) into cakes and set aside.
Banana Pudding
In sauce pan add sugar and egg yolks. Mix well adding milk when needed. Add flour to egg mixture, then the rest of the milk; mix well. Add vanilla, stir constantly on medium heat. Cut bananas into desired pieces. Add bananas into the mix and stir until thick. Let cool for 10 minutes.
Pour pudding onto cakes. Grab vanilla wafer cookies and crush and sprinkle the desired amount onto the pudding cake. Place in refrigerator.
Whipped Cream Topping
Place metal bowl and metal whisk in freezer 10-15 minutes. Place sugar in mixing bowl and add whipping cream. Whisk until cream reaches stiff peaks.
Take cakes out of the refrigerator and top desired amount of cream onto the cakes. Store unused portions. You may serve both cakes or store one in the refrigerator for later.
