Steps
Sequence Step
crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs that look like soil, I did this in the food processor but you can also crush them between sheets of plastic wrap with a rolling pin
Cream the butter, cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until the mixture is smooth
Combine the pudding mix and milk until well blended, then fol in the whipped topping
Gently fold the cream cheese and pudding mixtures together
To assemble the cake, layer one-third of the cookie crumbs into the bottom of the flower pot or child''s sand bucket, follow this with half the pudding mixture, then another third of the crumbs, then the rest of the pudding mixture and topping with the remaining cookie crumbs.
Refrigerate 19 to 12 hours
About half an hour before serving, remove from the refrigerator
I enjoy putting a few large Gummy worms into the soil, decorate with plastic flowers so the pot looks well planted
I like to serve it with a clean garden trowel. The best flower pot size is about an 8 inch pot.
A good serving size is about 1/2 cup, there will be about 16 servings.
