Steps
Sequence Step
1Char onions and peppers, if desired. When cool enough to handle, remove ends and seeds of peppers.
2Place everything in a pot with just enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes to soften veggies.
3When peppers are soft, transfer ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
4Strain, if desired.
5Return blended sauce to sauce pan (can add 2 TBSP oil before adding sauce if desired), and simmer to desired consistency.
