In a large bowl, work together, with hands, the first 5 ingredients until entirely smooth.
2
Add in the beaten egg in small amounts; about 1-2 tablespoons at a time, and knead into the dough until fully incorporated.
3
Form the dough into a large ball and place back in the bowl with a damp towel to cover. Let rest for at least one hour at room temperature.
4
Pinch off about 4 tablespoons worth of dough and form a ball. On a floured surface, stretch and roll the dough to form a tortilla.
5
On a greased cast iron skillet, heated to medium heat, place the rolled out tortilla and cook until light brown. Look to the edge to see browning and turn with a spatula to finish cooking on the other side.
6
Place tortillas on cloth, in a basket, in a warmed oven until ready to serve.
