Combine oats, bran flakes, peanuts, sunflower seeds, and almonds in a large bowl

In a sauce pan over medium heat combine applesauce, cinnamon, salt, canola oil, vanilla, maple syrup, molasses, honey and brown sugar until sugar is dissolved, about 3-4 minutes

Pour liquid mixture over dry ingredients and mix well

Divide granola between two sheet pans lined with parchment paper and press down with flat spatula

Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes

Let cool in oven for several hours or over night.

Pack in air tight bags for freshness. Keeps about 1 week.
