Steps
Sequence Step
1Combine all dry ingredients except wheat germ and flax seed, stirring to mix in very large bowl.
2Add flax ground flax seed and wheat germ evenly across top of mixture.
3Pour about 1/3 of maple syrup over flax seed and wheat germ to coat and stir. Repeat this step until syrup is used and flax seed/wheat germ have been coated and adhere to oats and nuts.
4Heat oven to 350*.
5Spray large baking sheet (with sides) generously with cooking spray.
6Pour mixture into pan and spread evenly across pan. Sprinkle evenly with salt.
7Bake 15 minutes
8Removed from oven, turning granola with large spatula to allow even cooking of cereal. Again, sprinkle evenly with salt.
9Turn off oven.
10Return cereal to oven for 15 minutes minimum or allow cereal and oven to cool.
