Fry the ribs over high heat in skillet until browned (about 10 mins). Add garlic powder and salt while cooking.

Transfer to roasting pan and add quartered onions.

Mix miso, red wine and beer in a bowl. Pour over meat.

Cover roasting pan and cook at 375 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.

Transfer juices and onions from roasting pan into skillet and reduce. Add some flour or corn starch to thicken if necessary.
