Preheat the oven to 400. Lightly grease a 12 cup muffin pan.

Into a large bowl, sift together the flou, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add the bran and flaxseed meal and mix well.

In a small bowl or measuring cup, combine the buttermilk, eggs, oil, mosasses, and vanilla. Add the buttermilk mixture o the flour mixture all at once and gently combine usiaing a spatula or sppon. fold in the raisins. Do not over mix.

Evenly divide batter between 12 muffin cups and bake ofr 15 minutes, or 18 minutes for a crispier top. Immediatlye remove the muffins from teh pan to a wire cooling rack.
