when buying peanut butter I find the store brands have no sugar in ingredients, can mix smooth and crunchy. Cream together peanut butter, butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg and beat well.

Sift together flour, baking soda and powder and salt. Add gradually to butter mix. Form into loose ball in bowl and chill dough for about 30 minutes.

Shape into 1" balls and place about 2" apart on lightly sprayed cookie sheet. Flatten with fork in crisscross pattern Bake for about 10 minutes at 350. Yields 48-60 cookies.
