cups, chopped or dicedbroccoli florets

Sequence Step
1Cut off the florets from the fresh broccoli. Leave as much stem as you prefer.
2Bring a large pot of water to a rapid boil.
3When the water is boiling, add one tablespoon of salt.
4Add your broccoli to your pot.
5Add the remaining salt.
6Replace the lid to bring the water back to boiling. Boil for 3-5 minutes until broccoli is tender.
7Strain out your broccoli. Save the stock.
8Pour your broccoli into a blender or food processor. Pour the stock over the broccoli until it just covers. (2 part broccoli to 1 part stock)
9Blend until the soup reaches desired consistency, adding stock as needed to ''thin'' the soup.
10Optional: Add cheese and enjoy.
