1in a large pot, heat olive oil. saute onions, carrots, peppers, and garlic for five minutes on high. add tomato paste and spices. stir while sauteing on high for 2 minutes. add canned tomatoes, and finally beans. simmer covered over medium heat for 20 minutes. stir, and reduce heat to low. simmer covered for 40-55 minutes.
