Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place 24 liners in muffin pans.

Beat together util fluffy: butter, sugar, splenda, baking powder,salt, vanilla and espresso powder.

Beat in eggs.

Stir in milk.

Fold in flour and chocolate chips, mixing as little as possible.

Spoon into muffins cups --fill almost to top.

Optional: Sprinkle each muffin with a little coarse sugar.

Bake until a wooden skewer inserted in muffin come out clean.

Remove from oven and tilt in pan to cool.
