Defrost liver.

Dredge liver in flour and pepper on wax paper for easy cleanup.

Slice the onion.

Melt butter over medium heat.

Saute onions until soft then remove from pan.

Fry liver until no more red shows. (approximately 5 minutes)

Melt in the 1 Tablespoon of butter in the drippings.

Stir in the 2 Tablespoons of flour until well mixed.

Add 1 cup water all at once.

Stir over medium heat until it comes to a boil.

Simmer 1 minute.
