put milk in large microwave safe measure

microwave for 30 seconds,then stir in the butter until it melts

stir in oatmeal and blackstrap molasses, let steep for 10 minutes

stir together flour, baking powder, nuts and raisins

beat the egg lightly, add to milk mixture

slowly stir wet ingredients into dry mixture

put into well greased muffin tin, bake 29-45 minutes at 325 degrees
