Recipe Name Healthy Breakfast Chocolate Chip Cookies Submitted by tscagg
Recipe Description A healthy dark chocolate chip cookie recipe with flax meal. I worked on this recipe for several months and many batches to make the healthiest breakfast cookie. Any dark chocoalte will work. I've used chocolate bars and chopped them myself (make sure cocoa is the first ingredient-not sugar!) for chuncky chocolate chip cookies. Use a total of 2-1/4 cups of flour & flax meal combined. You can get healthy coconut from the health food store. You can also add pecans, sunflower seeds or other nuts. Try 6 oz of chocolate chips and 6 oz of dried fruit which makes them a little more moist. I would appreciate your feedback and any adjustments or alternatives you come up with. I hope you enjoy!
