Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Dressing: Mix 3/4 cup basalmic vinaigrette and brown sugar, and cook over low heat until sugar is disolved. Set aside.

Slice pears in half - lengthwise. Remove cores, then slice each pieces into slices. Place slices in baking dish and drizzle with 1/4C vinaigrette. Bake on oven at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

Divide and place Butter lettuce on 6 plates, sprinkle pecans and dried cherries on lettuce. Divide and place roated pears on top of lettuce. Drizzle cooked vinaigrette over salad and top with blue cheese.
