Start a large pot of salted water boiling.
Mix all 4 ingredients together until smooth. Dough should be loose but not runny so you may need to add about 1/4 c more flour if runny.
Once Mixed put dough in basket of spaetzle maker over boiling water in batches and cook until spaetlze noodles float to top and just a minute more. Use slotted spoon to remove and place in strainer to make sure all water removed from spaetzle. Transfer drained spaetzle to bowl. Repeat process until all dough is cooked.
You can then saute in 1-2 tsp of butter if you like with pepper.
You can also add chicken or beef flavoring to water or use chicken or beef stock instead of water.
