Pre-cook the chicken breast or fry boneless chunks together in step 2

In soup pot add olive oil, then crumble and brown sausage over medium heat until sausage is browned.

Add onions and saute'' for 3 to 4 minutes longer.

Cook the potatoes in the microwave until they begin to soften.

Add salt, peppers, broth, chicken pieces, potatoes and parsley. Bring to boil and immediately turn down to simmer.

Simmer for 10 minutes, add kale.

Cover and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
