cup2% milk or skim

Sequence Step
1Fry bacon golden brown; add onion and cook without browning 5 minutes. Add vegetables in layers; sprinkle with sugar and seasonings; add water and cook slowly until potatoes are tender. Remove from heat and slowly stir in milk. Place crackers in hot soup bowls and pour chowder over. Serves 8 I also dice the onions and just put the milk (or creamer) in the individual servings.
