Steps
Sequence Step
1Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper. Add to skillet and brown nicely on both sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
2In same skillet, saute onion and celery until onion is translucent but not browned. Add garlic and saute another 30 seconds.
3Add beef broth, tomatoes, soup mix and parsley. Blend. Return meat to skillet, cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until tomatoes have cooked down and meat is tender.
4Remove meat to serving dish. Thicken gravy with cornstarch mixture and pour over meat or serve in a gravy boat with meat.
