This is a hearty banana bread made with whole wheat and spelt flour. I have been modifying every loaf to see how healthy I can make it and still have my kids eat it.
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x5 loaf pan.
Whisk together flours, flaxseed, salt, baking powder, baking soda and oats.
In a separate bowl mix eggs, butter, sugar, vanilla and mashed bananas.
Combine wet and dry ingredients and add sunflower seeds (or nuts).
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until golden brown 30-35 minutes.
